Writing FAQs that win Google rich results

A good FAQ section answers the questions that stop people from buying, and it can earn extra space in Google's search results. Both goals reward the same thing: short, specific answers to real questions.

Start with real questions

Look through support emails, live chat logs and the "People also ask" box for your keywords. The wording your customers use is the wording that people search for.

Keep answers short

Aim for two to four sentences. Lead with the direct answer, then add one detail that builds confidence. If an answer needs more than a paragraph, it probably deserves its own article.
